Haraizone Dance Company

Haraizone Dance Company is a non-governmental organization and intercultural dance platform founded on a strong collaboration between Ukraine and Germany. It was established by dancer Halyna Shchupak (Ukraine) and dancer and choreographer Rainer Behr (Germany), who have been working together for over three years. The organization operates in the fields of performative arts, contemporary dance, and dance theatre. Haraizone Dance Company creates original performances and cultural projects, and also develops works for other companies. An important part of its activity is education — sharing professional experience through workshops within an international context. The organization’s focus lies in intercultural exchange and long-term artistic collaboration between Ukrainian and German contexts, as well as in creating spaces for dialogue between diverse cultural, social, and artistic realities. In its artistic practice, Haraizone Dance Company investigates the origin of movement: where dance begins, how it becomes alive, and how an inner impulse transforms into a personal movement language.
