Tomáš Turek
Tomáš Turek is a Czech theatre, television, and film actor who was born in 1961 and successfully studied acting at DAMU in Prague. After graduation, he worked at HaDivadlo in Brno. In the early 1990s, he moved to Divadlo Labyrint in Prague, where he established a pivotal collaboration with director Hana Burešová. Since 1996, he has been one of the founding members of the acting ensemble at Divadlo v Dlouhé in Prague. Thanks to his specific diction and unmistakable delivery, he enjoys portraying distinct character roles here, often slightly eccentric oddballs, aristocrats, or bureaucrats. Audiences on this stage could see him in successful productions such as Soudné sestry, Lidská tragikomedie, Mistr a Markétka, or Maškaráda. He also appears regularly on camera, dating back to the 1990s. Directors most often cast him in small or medium-sized roles in successful television series. He has appeared, for example, in popular series such as Ordinace v růžové zahradě, Sever, Krejzovi, or České století.
