Karel Špindler

Karel Špindler is an acclaimed Czech set designer, renowned sculptor, and creative copywriter. Having studied in the studio of academic sculptor Zdeněk Vodička and performed within the Sculptura sculpting association, he masterfully combines working with stone, metal, and theatrical space. His visual signature has been shaping the Czech stage since the 1990s. He maintains a long-term, close collaboration with the Kašpar Theatre Company at the Divadlo v Celetné, where he has lent a unique identity as a set designer to successful productions such as Othello, Tattoos (Tetování), and Tender Is the Night (Něžná je noc).
