David Rotter
David Rotter is a Czech music composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, and occasional actor. Born in 1969 in Šumperk, he studied software engineering at the Brno University of Technology alongside private music studies. He has been composing professionally since 1994, creating original music for more than a hundred theater productions in the Czech Republic and abroad. He collaborates long-term with director Dodo Gombár and Bolek Polívka, alongside whom he also performs on stage at the Bolek Polívka Theatre in productions like DNA and Šašek a syn. He is the author of the symphonic oratorio Já, Jób! and music albums Amulet, Večerný hosť, and Zamrzlé úsměvy. For film and television, he composed scores for features such as Dědictví aneb kurva se neříká, 24, and Smíchov pláče, Brooklyn spí, and contributed to the sound design of the animated series Krysáci.
