Daniel Šubrt
Daniel Šubrt is a Czech musician, composer, and performer who has managed to organically connect the club rock scene with the theatre world. He grew up on classical music but spent a long time primarily in the rock'n'roll environment as the frontman of the band The Drain. Around 2014, he shifted his focus to original theatre music and has since regularly collaborated with a number of Czech stages. He left a significant mark, for example, at the South Bohemian Theatre, composing music for the popular productions of Da Vinci and The Hound of the Baskervilles. His work could also be heard by audiences at the Summer Shakespeare Festival and the Municipal Theatre Kladno. In addition to his artistic creation, he is actively engaged in publishing and theoretical work, mapping the operations and current trends in the Czech music industry.
