Martin Šinták

Martin Šinták is a renowned Czech choreographer, ballet master, and former solo dancer. Originally from Zdice, he graduated from the Dance Conservatory of the Capital City of Prague. He built his performance career primarily with the ballet company of the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, where he became a soloist and performed lead roles in classic ballets such as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, and Cinderella. Over time, he transitioned into choreography and ballet master roles. Today, as a sought-after choreographer across the Czech Republic, he works on ballet, opera, operetta, and drama productions. He regularly collaborates with director Tomáš Ondřej Pilař, creating notable productions in Pilsen, at the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice (including the original production Slavonic Dances), and at the National Theatre Opera in Prague. His work is known for an exceptional sense of physical expression, dynamics, and seamless integration of dance with music and staging.
