Peter Kováč

Peter Kováč is a Slovak theatre dramaturg and translator who plays an important role in shaping contemporary Slovak theatre. He translates dramatic texts from Hungarian into Slovak and collaborates with theatre companies as a dramaturg. His work combines a strong sense for language with a deep understanding of theatrical form. In 2019 he became the director of the Drama Company of the Slovak National Theatre, where he helps shape the dramaturgical direction of one of Slovakia’s most important theatre institutions.
