Lenka Vágnerová

Lenka Vágnerová is a Czech choreographer, dancer, and artistic director of Lenka Vágnerová & Company, one of the most distinctive ensembles of contemporary physical theatre. A graduate of the Duncan Centre Conservatory and HAMU, she has worked as a performer both in the Czech Republic and abroad, collaborating with leading directors and theatres. Today, she creates original projects that combine dance, theatre, and a strong visual language. Lenka Vágnerová’s work is characterized by intense emotionality, powerful physicality, and a dark poetic atmosphere. Her productions regularly tour Czech and international festivals and receive nominations for the Thalia Award and the Divadelní noviny Award. She has the ability to transform movement into a strong dramatic narrative, which is why she is regarded as one of the artists giving contemporary dance a clear and distinctive voice.
