Čeněk Koliáš

Čeněk Koliáš is a Czech theatre, television, and film actor. He was born in 1971 in Hradec Králové, where he also discovered his passion for acting through an encounter with amateur theatre. In 1993, he successfully graduated from the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at DAMU in Prague. Right after graduation, he was at the birth of the legendary Dejvické divadlo, where he subsequently worked for four seasons. He then permanently relocated to Divadlo v Dlouhé in Prague. On this popular stage, he became a permanent part of the acting ensemble and portrayed a number of significant theatrical roles. In addition to his work on stage, he also applies his acting experience in front of the camera. Directors frequently cast him in distinct character and episodic roles, which he manages to infuse with the necessary authenticity and subtle comedy. Audiences could see him, for example, in the popular series Horákovi and Vyprávěj; on the silver screen, he appeared in the film Sjezd abiturientů and the acclaimed drama Protektor.
