
Matěj Dadák
Matěj Dadák is a Czech theatre, film and television actor, screenwriter and author. He graduated in drama acting from DAMU and already during his studies attracted attention with his distinctive acting style. He has long been associated mainly with Prague’s Činoherní klub, where he created many notable roles in both classical and contemporary repertoire and later also worked as a director. He has also appeared as a guest on other major Czech stages.
Besides acting, he is active in literary work and screenwriting. His debut novella Horowitz was nominated for the Magnesia Litera Award 2011 in the category Discovery of the Year. On stage, Matěj Dadák is appreciated for his natural acting style, intelligent humor and precise character work.
On screen he has appeared in films such as Pravidla lži, Lída Baarová and Za vším hledej ženu, and in television series including Extraktoři, Policie Modrava and Kriminálka Anděl. He has three children with actress Petra Hřebíčková.
