
Dušan Urban
Dušan Urban is a Czech stage and film actor whose career is linked with leading Moravian theaters, where he is known for portraying psychologically complex and character-driven roles.
He graduated in acting from JAMU in Brno under the guidance of Josef Kovalčuk and Arnošt Goldflam. Following his graduation, he spent many years at the Moravian Theatre in Olomouc, where he performed nearly eighty roles. Since 2009, he has been a cornerstone of the Petr Bezruč Theatre ensemble in Ostrava. Here, he excels in both classical and modern repertoire—audiences remember him from productions such as The Cremator (Spalovač mrtvol), 1984, or Maryša. In recent years, he has also been guest-starring at Divadlo Mír, showcasing his comedic talent.
He made a striking screen debut as the murderer Láďa Rejsek in the crime thriller Velvet Murderers (Sametoví vrazi). Since then, he has become a regular face on television, appearing in series such as Místo zločinu Ostrava, Justice (Spravedlnost), Ordinace v růžové zahradě, or Četnické humoresky.
