Radoslav Šopík

Radoslav Šopík is a Czech theater and television actor who was born in 1958 in Zlín. After studying dramatic acting at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU) in Brno, he first joined the Slovácké divadlo in Uherské Hradiště and subsequently spent two seasons at what is now the Klicpera Theater in Hradec Králové. Since 1985, he has been loyal to his hometown and has been a permanent ensemble member of the Zlín City Theater, where he has portrayed over a hundred and fifty roles over the decades. He has appeared there, for example, in award-winning productions with local themes, such as Baťa Tomáš, živý or Palubní deník Hanzelky a Zikmunda. On camera, he tends to take on smaller roles. He played in the films Lidice, Domácí péče, and Dubček, and television viewers may recognize him from episodic roles in series like Případy 1. oddělení or Četnické humoresky. In addition, the local public knew him primarily by his voice for many years, as he worked as a popular presenter on the Zlín radio station Kiss Publikum.
