Jan Vlasák

Jan Vlasák is a prominent Czech stage, film, and television actor, as well as an acclaimed voice actor. A graduate in acting from JAMU in Brno, he began his artistic career in Uherské Hradiště, from where his path led through stages in Ostrava, the E. F. Burian Theatre, the State Theatre in Brno, the Realistické Theatre, and Rokoko, all the way to the company of the National Theatre. He is currently a cornerstone of the Prague City Theatres acting company and regularly guest-performs at the Pod Palmovkou Theatre, the Švanda Theatre, and the V Řeznické Theatre. Throughout his rich career, he has portrayed a vast number of iconic roles, including in Hamlet, Othello, Cyrano de Bergerac, and The Bully (Rváč). To television and film audiences, he is well-known from the series Ordinace v růžové zahradě, Cesty domů, Cukrárna, Cirkus Bukowski, and The First Republic (První republika), from the films Empties (Vratné lahve) and Bathory, as well as international productions such as Dune and Hostel. For many years, he has also dedicated a significant part of his talent to radio work and voice dubbing.
