Martin Hruška

Martin Hruška was a Czech theater and film actor, director, and educator originating from České Budějovice. After graduating from the Prague Conservatory, he studied theater studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. He began his professional career at the Vítězslav Nezval Theatre in Karlovy Vary before joining the drama ensemble of the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice in 1993, where he also served as artistic director and directed several productions between 1998 and 2003. From 2013 until his untimely passing in 2022, he was a permanent member of the acting ensemble at the Divadlo pod Palmovkou in Prague. He also taught at the České Budějovice Conservatory and regularly collaborated with Czech Radio. On screen, he appeared in feature films such as Teambuilding, Flower Buds, and To See the Sea, while television audiences knew him from series such as Seven Steps to Power, The Krejzas, Fire Chicken, Police Modrava, and Code Blue.
