Beáta Kaňoková

Beáta Kaňoková is a Czech theater, television, and film actress. She was born in 1989 in Krnov and studied dramatic acting at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU) in Prague. She secured her first permanent engagement from 2017 to 2018 at the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice, but she has also collaborated with the Švanda Theatre. Since 2018, she has been a permanent member of the acting ensemble at the Prague City Theatres. There, she introduced herself to audiences as Ophelia in Hamlet, portrayed the title character in the adaptation of the novel Honzlová, and played doctor Vlasta Kálalová-di Lotti in the production Doktorka z domu Trubačů. She entered the wider public's awareness primarily through her prominent television roles. She appeared in the series Pan profesor and Anatomie života, and gained immense popularity for her role as shop assistant Eva in the period drama Zlatá labuť. On the silver screen, she drew attention in the psychological film Borders of Love (Hranice lásky) and landed one of the main roles in the award-winning 2022 sci-fi drama Ordinary Failures (Běžná selhání).
