Janka Ryšánek Schmiedtová

A writer and director. She graduated in Theatre Directing from JAMU (Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts). Between 2015 and 2019, she served as the artistic director of the Petr Bezruč Theatre in Ostrava. Today, she collaborates with various theatres across the Czech Republic and Slovakia (including Divadlo Scéna, Spejbl and Hurvínek Theatre, Spitfire Company, National Moravian-Silesian Theatre, Puppet Theatre, F. X. Šalda Theatre in Liberec, Studio DVA Theatre, Divadlo Palace, etc.).
