Rivne Academic Regional Puppet Theater

The Rivne Academic Regional Puppet Theatre was founded in 1975 as a travelling theatre. Today it is a permanent cultural space with a modern stage, workshops, and a professional team. In 2007, the theatre received the title "Academic." Over more than 50 years, it has produced over 300 premieres. The theatre creates performances for children, families, and adults, combining traditional puppetry with contemporary approaches to animation theatre. Its repertoire spans classical, modern, and original dramaturgy, as well as inclusive and sensory formats — including Baby Theatre for audiences from 0 years old and the mobile Story Wagon, which brings performances to remote communities. During the full-scale invasion, the theatre continued its work: it set up a dedicated stage in a shelter, performed for displaced children, and launched the Puppets Don't Stay Silent laboratory — exploring theatre, memory, and psychological resilience in wartime.
