Markéta Cukrová
Markéta Cukrová is a prominent Czech opera singer, mezzosoprano, and renowned specialist in the performance of early music. She studied musicology and philology at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, while pursuing vocal training privately under leading domestic and international tutors. Her repertoire ranges from medieval music to the 20th century. She regularly performs on major opera stages such as the National Theatre in Prague, the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, and the J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, while also making a significant mark in productions at the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice. She collaborates closely with renowned baroque ensembles (such as Collegium 1704 and Collegium Marianum) and regularly performs in concerts across Europe. For her extraordinary stage and concert performances, she has earned nominations for the Thalia Award and the Classic Prague Awards.
